Fraycam is the only detection and capture system for broken filaments that operates at full production speed.
The Fraycam MV system consists of a Fraytec MV sensor, a high speed camera and a Laptop Computer with custom software.
The MV sensor is fitted with highly sensitive light cells, which identify all filaments that protrude from the yarn. As a filament is detected, the camera supplies an instantaneous needle sharp photo, which is displayed on the laptop and is saved automatically together with relevant data.
This Fraycam image provides invaluable information on the nature of the fault aiding diagnostic work.
This Fraycam is designed for use on both pilot / lab machines as well as in production. Reliable detection of individual broken filaments down to a fineness of 5µm diameter is provided at highest speeds up to 8,000 m/min.
Both individual filaments faults as well as larger events such as slubs are detected and displayed reliably.
The PC software provides a user friendly interface for all functions
