The monitoring of the mechanical quality of all technical yarns is essential, to guarantee performance in both downstream processes and end use applications.

Fibrevision are pleased to be able to offer the 2 leading Quality Monitoring Systems for Technical Yarns, offering users the choice between a long established system dedicated to Broken Filament monitoring and an advanced system providing a fuller range of yarn characterisation.

FRAYTEC

The original market leading Broken Filament monitoring system with over 8,000 sensors installed world-wide. The Fibrevision Fraytec MV (Multi Vision) sensor is new version of this tried and tested system, with innovative technology for sensors and data processing. For further details please go to the Fraytec page.

FIBRETQS

When processing Technical yarns FibreTQS monitoring provides substantial yarn quality benefits resulting from excellent correlation with downstream performance.

For Technical yarn processes a FibreTQS Optical sensor is used providing measurement of key parameters.

    • Broken Filaments and Slubs
    • Interlace Mean Level and Variation
    • Denier Variation and Change

The Optical Sensors are fitted after the last godet in the winding area:

The key benefits of the FibreTQS system are:

    • The ability to differentiate between faults of different sizes - especially between small broken filaments and loops that do not cause problems in the downstream processes and Slubs (large Broken Filament events with the filament wrapped around the yarn), which inevitably cause downstream faults.
    • The measurement of interlace which ensures that air jet or threading faults are identified immediately ensuring that faulty packages are not produced
